If you're trying to stay lean, jacked, and athletic from home, I’ve found something game-changing: the Speediance Gym Monster 2. After testing it thoroughly, I can confirm it lives up to its name – and might finally convince me to cancel my gym membership.
Zero Hassle Setup
The Gym Monster 2 arrives fully assembled in one package. No hour-long setup: just roll it in (thanks to built-in wheels), plug it in, and start training. It’s foldable, space-saving, and fits into your life without taking over your house.
Smart Training, Smarter Results
The built-in exercise library is massive, and yes, it's fully customizable. So whether you're chasing hypertrophy, strength, or athletic performance, it adjusts to you.
And one of my favorite features is this Bluetooth ring. You can adjust your weight on the fly and start or stop your set without walking back to the screen.
It also has an AI coach with velocity-based training. This means during your speed workout, the machine adapts to your speed and form to help you maximize every single rep. It's like having a strength coach built into the machine.
Four smart weight modes
One of my favorite features that you can't get with traditional barbells, dumbbells, and cable machines is the four smart weight modes.
- Standard mode, which is just like your traditional lift, using dumbbells or barbells, where the weight is the same on the way up and way down.
- Eccentric mode, which creates more resistance during the eccentric portion of the lift on the way down. For example, the weight is 50 lbs on the way up and an extra 25 lbs for a total of 75 lbs on the way down. This is great for muscle building.
- Fixed mode, which keeps a constant speed for each rep, no matter how hard you push or pull. This can be helpful when performing rehab exercises. and chain mode, which increases the weight during the concentric lift on the way up. For example, the weight starts at 65 lbs at the bottom, then increases to 80 lbs once you reach the top. That means more challenge, better results, and less guesswork.
- And if you want to train with your partner, there's a partner mode that unlocks workouts for two people, which makes your Speediance workout more fun with more variety, and yep, still efficient.
Data-Driven Progress & Safety First
There's also a dedicated Speediance app that tracks your reps, sets, and progress, all synced with the machine. And you can also integrate this data with other fitness tracking apps, including Strava. Every lift, rep, and rest period is tracked and stored in your personal profile with detailed data and performance feedback from your Speediance workout. It's all right there to keep you dialed in so you can get stronger with progressive overload.
And if you're worried about going heavy without a spotter, the Gym Monster 2 has built-in safety features and spotter mode so you can push it hard without risking injury.
Bonus: Rowing Transformation
There's also an option to include the Speediance rowing bench, which turns your Speediance into a rowing machine. So, during your rowing workout, you can enjoy watching a scenic rowing course to make your workout more interesting.
And the consistent resistance and posture correction make this a legit cardio and strength hybrid tool.
And Speeded is constantly upgrading its software based on feedback from its Facebook community. So, your Speedance Gym Monster 2 keeps getting smarter the longer you own it.

Gym Monster 2 vs. Gym Monster: What’s Upgraded?
The Gym Monster 2 is lighter, smarter, and more powerful where it counts. It's 15 lbs lighter, takes up less space when it's folded, and now has 11 height settings for better cable angle control. You'll also get double the storage as it's increased to 128 GB versus 64 GB, plus a 2.1 stereo system with a built-in subwoofer for richer sound compared to Gym Monster 1's basic speakers. The Gym Monster 2 also uses a straight-through airflow design to improve the cooling compared to the older angled system. Both have the same touchscreen and software, but the Gym Monster 2 hardware is upgraded to give you a smart home gym that is lighter, takes up less space, and gives you better performance. That's a win.
The Verdict: Live Lean Approved
Speediance Gym Monster 2 is space-smart, performance-driven, and built for busy people who don't cut corners. If you want to take your home training to the next level, I highly recommend checking it out.
