She Made History: Cranon Becomes IBF World Champion - Trained With Speediance

On Juneteenth, Cranon, who trains with Speediance, stepped onto the platform at the IBF World Championships and did something no one had ever done before. She lifted her way into the history books, claiming the gold in the 76kg class and becoming the first Black woman in history to win a world title at that weight.

Cranon Wins IBF World Championship in the 76KG Class

At the IBF World Championships, Cranon delivered a performance that left no doubt. Competing in the 76kg division, she outlifted every competitor in the field and stood at the top of the podium — world champion. But the weight of what she accomplished goes far beyond the kilograms on the bar.

In a statement shared on her Instagram following the victory, Cranon captured the magnitude of the moment:

"Today, on Juneteenth, I became the first Black woman in history to become a World Champion in the 76kg class. Being the first isn't about being the last. It's about leaving the door open."

She dedicated the win not only to herself, but to every young Black girl watching: "I hope she sees that history isn't something we only read about. Sometimes, we get to become a part of it."

More Than a Medal — Representation in Strength Sports

Strength sports have long been dominated by a narrow image of who belongs on the platform. Cranon's win powerfully challenges that. As the first Black woman to claim a world title in the 76kg class, she gives every young woman watching — especially those who've never seen themselves reflected at this level — a reason to show up and compete.

Powered by Dedication — Supported by Speediance

Behind every champion is a training system built for the demands of elite performance. Cranon's preparation for the IBF World Championships was no exception — and Speediance is proud to have been part of that journey. The Speediance Gym Monster 2, with up to 220 lbs of digital resistance and multiple training modes, is designed to support serious strength work - from heavy compound lifts to the focused accessory training that competitive athletes rely on.

At Speediance, we've always believed that world-class training shouldn't be confined to commercial gym floors. Our smart gym systems are built to deliver the kind of resistance, control, and versatility. Cranon's championship is a powerful reminder of what that commitment to training can achieve.

Strength Has No Limits — And Neither Do You

Cranon's story isn't just an athlete's story. It's proof that the strength sports community is broader, more powerful, and more diverse than the history books have reflected. And it's proof that the right tools, the right training system, and an unbreakable mindset can carry you to the top of the world.

Whether you're stepping into a gym for the first time or preparing for your own moment on the platform, the foundation is the same: show up, train with intention, and refuse to accept limits.
