We’ve had the Speediance Gym Monster since launch day, and honestly, it’s outlasted most of our adult brain cells. Since we first plugged it in, this machine has been the absolute bedrock of our fitness routine with precisely zero reliability issues. It just works.
In the time we’ve owned it, we have somehow managed to add two more kids to the mix (bringing our grand total to a chaotic four). While our free time and sleep schedule have completely tanked, our fitness hasn't. Why? Because the Gym Monster is sitting right there, ready to give us a world-class workout faster than we can change a diaper. No matter how busy life gets, the massive library of premade routines and the ability to build custom workouts means we never run out of ways to sweat out the parenting stress.
What really keeps us coming back, though, is the tech. The interface upgrades and the development team’s consistent knack for actually listening to user feedback is huge. It feels like the machine gets smarter while we get stronger. Plus, the strength tracking and the little dopamine-hit of the reward system are basically the only things keeping us motivated to consistently lift heavy things when we’d rather be napping.
If it can keep a household of six in shape and running smoothly without a single technical hiccup, it can handle anything. Five stars. Zero regrets. Now, if Speediance could just roll out an interface update that teaches kids how to put their shoes away, it would be the perfect machine.

I purchased the Gym Monster in November ‘25. What sold me on this machine vs others was that it doesn’t need mounted to a wall and doesn’t require a monthly subscription. Beyond that, it looked like it could do almost every exercise I would be interested in doing at a gym. While it’s an investment, the idea of being able to simple walk to another room in my house to workout vs driving to a gym was also very enticing. Without the monthly fee that similar machines require, this really is an economical option.
I had been working with a trainer at a gym for several months to learn how to use machines, what exercises target what muscles, proper form, etc. Even with all that new knowledge I still found myself not going consistently and feeling really intimidated in the gym.
With a solid foundation, I bought the gym monster and used ChatGPT to create a customized 4-day split based on the machine and my goals. It was pretty simple to find the workouts in the app and create the 4 custom workouts. Since then I’ve modified them a bit based on my experience and preferences with the machine, which has also been easy.
I have now been progressively overloading these programs for 4 months without missing weeks. If you are someone who is motivated by quantitative data like me, you will love all the stats on this machine. I love that it tracks and remembers all my weights for movements and shows my progress over time.
While it sounds dramatic, this machine HAS been life-changing. Combined with cardio (like the Peloton pictured), I am more active than I’ve ever been in my life (turning 40 this year) and am completely recomping my body. People sometimes complain about the software or other shortcomings they feel the gym monster has, but to me it’s an INCREDIBLE machine that makes strength training so much more accessible to people and I am so impressed by the technology. HIGHLY recommend, you won’t regret the investment!

I bought my GM in January 2025 after trying a friends Tonal. I really liked the Tonal a lot, but wasn’t interested in having to mount it on one wall, and paying a monthly subscription rate.
I saw the GM on Facebook and after doing my research, decided to buy one. I figured that if I didn’t like it I could always return it.
I’ve been using the GM 3-4 times a week since I bought it. I moved away from free weights a number of years ago because being in my 60’s I didn’t want to risk injury. I belonged to a local health club, but lost my motivation because I was tired of getting ready, driving there, and then constantly waiting for people sitting on the machines staring at their phones.
When I started using the GM I was 220 pounds and about 22% body fat. Today I am 175 pounds and 9.5% body fat! And I’ll be 69 in June!
As you can see from my photos, I’ve changed things up a little. I’m using the Ironmaster Super Bench which works very well for me. I’ve also started using a few different bars for curls and lat pull downs. Speediance was kind enough to send me D Rings at no charge so I could complete my setup.
I have a little over 4,200,000 pounds lifted, and have had absolutely zero problems with my GM! The Bluetooth ring has never failed me. I am still using the original cables with no fraying whatsoever. I’ve never had an internet connection problem.
I’m so happy that I decided to buy the GM. It’s been a real life changer for me. It’s a tremendous piece of equipment!

This has been a blessing since the GM2 arrived! I’ve worked out almost everyday! I was intimidated to do weights at the Y and people always waiting for you to finish! This is perfect and so user friendly! I haven been able to lose weight but I have with this. When you’re tired and don’t feel like working out you do anyway because it’s not an inconvenience! We bought this machine over a year ago and it’s been absolutely A game changer. We opted for Speediance instead of traditional weights was to use it safely around our kids. There is practically nothing to install, it comes fully assembled. There is no room for any excuses to not working out with the "gym Monster" at home! Although this machine is on the pricier end, we are making a good use of it and it's an investment for your health!

My wife and I purchased the gym monster family plus package, and couldn't be happier with the unit! We specifically chose the family plus package for the included rowing machine, and it is awesome! We really like the guidance & coaching that is built into the gym monster, and this include the rowing machine. In fact, we sold our old rowing machine just so that we could have a rowing machine that is incorporated into the gym monster programs. Additionally, we previously used traditional weights and a cable smith machine that we replace with the gym monster. It is SO MUCH NICER to be able to switch weights and exercises so effortlessly and quickly compared to moving weights around a smith machine to change exercises or for a different user! With the blue tooth ring, you can change the weight/resistance simply by spinning a thumb dial on the finger ring (much like on an apple watch) which is extremly convienent and adds a safety net to your exercise because you can instantly remove the weight from the cables just by puching the button on the blue tooth ring! We highly recommend the gym monster!

I bought the Gym Monster two months ago and have been actively using it almost every day since then. I am very satisfied with the device because it allows even complete beginners to learn and progress quickly and effectively. My two sons are also enthusiastic about the device.
However, I have had problems with the Bluetooth ring and handles disconnecting from the very beginning, so I contacted technical support. Their response was very quick and they soon offered me a solution to replace these accessories. Now I am waiting for the replacement accessories to arrive to test them. Currently, I use the device without the help of Bluetooth devices and turn on the weight manually (on the screen), which is also an option, but it is less convenient than using wireless accessories.
I bought the Gym Monster device along with all the accessories and the rowing machine and I must say that everything is made of extremely high quality. I also like that the device and accessories do not take up much space and are therefore suitable for smaller spaces.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the device itself, as well as the communication and accessibility of technical support, and I can recommend this device to anyone who wants to exercise and tone their body, but doesn't have much time for fitness. You won't regret it.

This machine has been fantastic. It is incredibly versatile, compact, sturdy and I'm nowhere close to pushing it's limits. The programming is great with all types of premade workouts for any level. But you can also build your own and save them using a great interface on your phone or directly on the machine. After owning it nearly a year I have seen it go through a number of significant software updates adding features like phone connectivity for music, or heart rate monitor connectivity and AI features as well as additional content and workouts. It's amazing considering they don't charge for the software. They really listen to their users and have even implemented a suggestion I've sent in.

I've had my Speediance Gym Monster for about 6 weeks now, and I love it! It's compact, fits perfectly in my space, and the workouts have been great!
I’ve used a home gym with free weights for years, but was growing frustrated with the exercise limitations and my wife hated the sound of clanking weight plates.
I had been interested in Tonal, but the fact that Speediance offered a free life time membership was one big deciding factor for me. That, and the fact that there is no mounting needed for the Gym Monster.

After taking a job that includes a lot of travel, I spent many years eating poorly and not working out regularly. Recently, I made a decision to eat better and get back in shape. After doing a lot of research, I decided to invest in the Speediance Monster and I am glad I did. It has ben almost 4 months and I am still motivated every day.
The first thing that drew me to it is that Speediance includes all of the important accessories as part of the bundle. This means that, for the price, it is one of the best deals out there. Additionally, when I purchased the Monster they had a deal on the subscription making it an even better deal that I expected.
Once I started with it, I had a number of questions about the hardware and the software as well as suggestions. I want to call out the support staff as they were extremely helpful and courteous. They were able to send me instructions, images, and videos to help me as well as passed along my suggestions to their team. I have even heard back from their people regarding suggestions. Over the past months, I have seen the software moving in the right direction and the updates to software and exercises are consistent. Items like the AI weight adjustment and partner mode have been welcome additions.
I opted for the larger screen as I am farsighted and need glasses to read smaller text. The larger screen allows me to read and navigate the system without having to wear my glasses which I appreciate. I do wish that the screen could tilt like the smaller one does however, I have placed a mirror across from it which allows me to view the screen while doing different exercises. The screen can flip vertically which allows for the smaller screen to be read while tilted but not horizontally for reading in a mirror.
As for the hardware, it takes a little bit of practice to switch the exercises to keep up with some of the programs but that comes quickly with some time. The movement is smooth and while the fans are a little bit loud when working, they are not so loud that you can't hear the audio. The weights seem accurate and the changing is easy. Even mid exercise, the assist feature is very useful to allow you to complete the sets.
Overall, wen looking at the competition, the Speediance Monster is an amazing value that functions smoothly and has great support. The accessories are solid and the software is solid and improving steadily. In my case, it was a great option and provides daily motivation to keep going every day.
