Speediance Gym Monster 3 builds on the  Gym Monster 2 with a range of upgrades designed to make training more interactive, flexible, and convenient. From a larger screen and more cable positions to voice control and a more refined frame, GM3 focuses on improving how you train with the machine every day.

Here's exactly what's changed and what those upgrades mean for your training.

Gym Monster 2 vs. Gym Monster 3: What Actually Changed

Voice Control and Interaction

This is one of the key functional upgrades from Gym Monster 2 to Gym Monster 3.

  • Higher-performance computing platform: A more powerful computing platform enables smoother voice interaction and processing.
  • Voiceprint recognition: Voiceprint recognition: You can enrol your voiceprint on the machine, and voice adjustments are only available after your voiceprint has been recognized.
  • Voice control: You can start and stop workouts, adjust weight, switch resistance modes, and perform other basic functions entirely by voice — useful mid-set, when reaching for a touchscreen isn't practical. At launch, voice interaction supports English only - additional languages (Spanish, German, French, Arabic) are planned for future OTA updates.

Voice control and voiceprint recognition are currently still in development for Gym Monster 2.

Hardware Upgrades

  • 19+1 cable positions, up from 11+1: This is close to double the vertical position options. More positions doesn't just mean more exercises — it means the machine can better fit different body heights and training angles, so more users can find a genuinely comfortable pulling position rather than making do with the closest available one.
  • Structural changes: The main frame has moved from a bolted construction on GM2 to a welded construction on GM3, which improves rigidity and stability. This is also why the GM3 is heavier: it weighs 181 lb compared with 172 lb for the Gym Monster 2. The screen mount also moved from a single-point to a dual-point hinge for better screen stability, and WiFi has been upgraded from WiFi 5 to WiFi 6 for a more stable connection.
  • 23.8" touchscreen, up from 21.5": A larger display provides more space for guided workouts and on-screen content.
  • Platform soft-lowering: The platform now lowers at a controlled and even speed at the press of a button, instead of dropping quickly the way it does on Gym Monster 2 — a small but meaningful change that helps prevent the wear and impact that comes from a fast and uncontrolled drop.
  • Ambient lighting and auto screen rotation: Multi-color ambient lighting and a gyroscope-enabled screen that automatically rotates add to the overall experience.
